Siamo di fronte ad un gruppo che ha disegnato la storia del rock mondiale ,una reunion spettacolare sotto tutti i punti di vista ripercorrono tutta la loro carriera prendendo spunto dallo storico The concert in central park ,che dire ? chi ascolta musica non può non averlo.

Il concerto e la magia delle canzoni non si discutono. I filmati d'archivio danno un tocco aggiuntivo. La qualità audio è buona... è invece la qualità video a peccare un po'.
Il film è tratto da una serie di show al Madison Square Garden del 2003, ma sembra sia stato filmato con apparecchiature degli anni 60.
Grana vistosa e quasi fastidiosa. Si son visti dvd con qualità molto migliore. E teniam conto siamo al Madison, quindi con condizioni di ripresa/luci ottimali, e non ad un concerto open air.
D'accordo che è la musica a farla da padrona, ma dalla Columbia / Sony mi aspettavo un po' più di qualità.
L'aggiunta di un piccolo libretto illustrativo nella confezione (doveroso e scontato per i miei canoni ma sempre meno presente di sti tempi), non salva il mediocre lavoro di produzione.

Excelente dvd en el que destaca con diferencia art garfunkel.Ya esta bien de destacar a paul simon por encima de art garfunkel, cuando es este ultimo el que canta las canciones mas bonitas de este duo.

El concierto es excelente, ¿que se puede decir de Simon & Garfunkel?
A pesar de que el disco es PAL, mi reproductor de Blu-Ray lo reprodujo sin problemas.
El único pero es que la calidad de imagen es horrible. Sé que es un DVD y no llega a la alta definición, pero de verdad la calidad es horrenda. Tengo el dvd del concierto en Central Park, y comparándolo con este la calidad de imagen es muchísimo mejor. Por eso le pongo 4 estrellas

'Paul Simon' and 'Art Garfunkel' grew up living just a few blocks away from each other in the predominately Jewish neighbourhood
'Kew Garden Hills' Queens, New York' they both had a love of music and in their younger days were inspired by the emergence
of stars such as 'Elvis' and 'The Everly's'
As friends in their school-days their partnership and future was sealed, their close harmonies had them hailed as the next 'Everly
Brothers'
Their earliest recording 'Hey Schoolgirl' got a fair bit of air-play on the radio stations, ironically they did split in the early sixties but
teamed up again leading to their breakthrough in the Charts both sides of the Atlantic with 'The Sound of Silence' in 1965 their
Chart-Success was to continue over the next five years before their famous falling out in 1970
'Paul Simon' was the Songwriter, Guitarist, and Vocals, 'Art Garfunkel' the lead vocalist.
Of course many will remember the duo's reunion Concert in Central-Park in front of 500,000 fans in September 1981, the reunion sadly
was brief........many, doubted that this would be it's equal......however, those that have watched it will tell you...yes, a fantastic viewing
experience that brings the memories flooding back.
Must admit down the years when feeling the need to relax or even have moments of reflection i often play 'Simon and Garfunkel'
This release is from their 'Old Friends' Tour in 2003 which included Boyhood-Heroes 'The Everly Brothers' as guest artists.
With pretty much all the best known hits on-board this release is essential viewing for music fans of 'Simon and Garfunkel.

Eines der besten Konzerte, das ich je von Simon and Garfunkel gesehen habe! Ein Hit reiht sich an den anderen, es fehlt kein Song, den man unbedingt bei einem Simon and Garfunkel Konzert erwartet. Als Bonus praesentieren die beiden dann noch einige Songs, die vielleicht den meisten Leuten nicht so bekannt sind, wie zum Beispiel MY LITTLE TOWN, CUSTOMERS SATISFIED oder HAZY SHADE OF WINTER, wunderschoene Stuecke! Die Begleitband ist toll, es passt alles zusammen. Einige der Songs werden etwas anders interpretiert, als man sie eigentlich kennt, so z.B. Misses Robinson, das durch einige instrumentale Zusaetze aufgepeppt wird, einfach klasse! Simon and Garfunkel wirken in diesem Konzert viel lockerer als in ihrem legendaeren Konzert im Central Park 1981, welches meiner Meinung nach von diesem noch uebertroffen wird!
Unbedingte Kaufempehlung, es lohnt sich wirklich!
