King is another good song with good beats and great vocals by B. B. King; 'Don't Cha Hear Me Callin' To Ya' by the 5th Dimension is a very good song with great vocals by the group; 'Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In (The Flesh Failures) by The 5th Dimension is another good song with good beats and great vocals by the group; 'My Girl' by former Temptations singer David Ruffin is a good song with good beats and good vocals by David Ruffin (he sang some other songs which lasted a long time!); 'Oh Happy Day' by The Edwin Hawkins Singers is a beautiful Gospel song with great beats and great vocals by the group; 'It's Been A Change' by The Staple Singers is another beautiful song with great beats and great vocals by the group (the song is about the Civil Rights movement of the 1960's); 'Precious Lord, Take My Hand' by The Operation Bread Basket Orchestra & Choir Featuring Mahalia Jackson and Mavis Staples is another beautiful Gospel song with a beautiful melody and beautiful vocals by the group; both 'the Queen of Gospel' singer Mahalia Jackson and Mavis Staples were practically 'competing' with each other trying to out-sing each other! registro fiel e diverso do festival Summer of Soul. apesar de ter sido feita ao vivo, num espaço aberto e com a interferencia do publico, a captação e a gravação possuem muita qualidade, trazem versões inéditas e toda atmosfera do chamado "woodstock negro". imperdivel

Went to the movie when it came out, bought the DVD so got the soundtrack as well. Great line up from the funk/soul era. Particular stand outs are Sly and The 5th Dimension.
